Parts A, B, C and D
Initial Enrollment Period: Seven-month timeframe surrounding your 65th birthday: the three months before your birthday, the month of your birthday, and the three months following your birthday. For example, if you turn 65 on June 15th, your initial enrollment period would be March 1st through September 30th.
Special Enrollment Period: Available to individuals who keep non-Medicare coverage past their 65th birthday, such as insurance through an employer if you are currently working. For Parts A and B, this period runs for eight months from the date you (or your spouse) stopped working. For Parts C and D, you have 9 weeks to enroll.
Medigap Open Enrollment Period: The six-month period beginning the month you turn 65.
